IDF raid 300x199 Senior Hamas Military Operative Gets Shot Up By IDF

RAMALLAH — Israeli special forces killed a senior member of Hamas’s Izzedin Kassam military wing in an operation near the southern West Bank city of Hebron. On April 26, Ali Sweti, wanted by Israel since 2002, was killed in a shootout at the home of his relative in Beit Awa.

The 42-year-old Sweti, survived by two wives and 14 children, was regarded as a leading Hamas military operative, Israeli and Palestinian sources said.

“A force surrounded the building in which Sweti was hiding and called on him to surrender,” an Israeli military statement said. “Sweiti refused and opened fire at the forces, who then used engineering tools in addition to firing at the building’s exterior wall, in order to cause him to surrender. The terrorist continued to fire at the force and was ultimately killed.”

Update On Terrorist Lawyers Now Working For The Department Of Justice

holder doj Update On Terrorist Lawyers Now Working For The Department Of Justice

Washington Examiner

A number of lawyers who work on terrorist issues at the Justice Department represented terrorist detainees before joining the Obama administration. At a hearing three months ago, Sen. Charles Grassley raised the possibility of a conflict with Attorney General Eric Holder.

Grassley, a senior Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, posed three simple questions: Who are they, who did they represent, and what are their duties at the Justice Department today?

At the time, Grassley knew from press reports that two high-ranking department officials now working on detainee issues had previously worked for detainees: Principal Deputy Solicitor General Neal Katyal once represented Osama bin Laden’s driver, and Jennifer Daskal, an official in the National Security Division, worked on behalf of detainees at the liberal organization Human Rights Watch.

Bin Laden claims airline bomb attempt on Christmas

CAIRO – Osama bin Laden claimed responsibility for the failed attempt to bomb a Detroit-bound airliner on Christmas in a new audio message released Sunday threatening more attacks on the United States.

However, a senior U.S. intelligence official in Washington said there is “no evidence whatsoever” that the al-Qaida leader had any involvement in the plot or even knew about it in advance. So the message indicates bin Laden may want to appear in direct command of the terror group’s affiliates around the world at a time when some analysts have suggested he is mostly a figurehead.

Gates: Report on Fort Hood Shooting Reveals Serious Internal ‘Shortcomings’

The Pentagon’s review of the deadly Fort Hood shooting reveals serious “shortcomings” in the military’s ability to stop foreign extremists from trying to use its own soldiers against the United States, Defense Secretary Robert Gates said Friday.

He said military supervisors are not properly focused on the threat posed by self-radicalization and need to better understand the behavioral warning signs. And he warned that extremists are changing their tactics in an attempt to hit the United States.

Senator Kent Conrad (Liberal-N.D) Says Those Who Are Against Civilian Trials For Terrorists Should Leave America

(CNSNews.com) – Sen. Kent Conrad (D-N.D.) told CNSNews.com that civilian courts are well-suited to prosecute al Qaeda terrorists and that “if people don’t believe in our system, maybe they ought to go somewhere else.”

Conrad also dismissed a question about the rights of terrorists captured on foreign battlefields and the rules of evidence in terms of a civilian court trial as not serious.

Attorney General Eric Holder announced on Nov. 13 that five suspects in the 9/11 attacks would be tried in a civilian court in New York City instead of facing a military trial.

Saw This Coming: Gun Control Advocates Looking To Capitalize On Fort Hood Shooting

Shots ring out in a staccato barrage, and innocent men and women are cut down and maimed. Minutes later — though it seems like hours — the echoes of gunfire recede. Screams and sirens fill the air in a surreal scene that shocked survivors have a hard time comprehending. The trauma will haunt them for years to come … and they are the lucky ones.

The dead leave behind sons and daughters, mothers and fathers, spouses and friends. The wounded bear scars both physical and psychological. Some will carry guilt as a weighted chain they do not deserve, simply for surviving when others did not. Families will be torn asunder. Many of those involved will never be whole again. Some will encounter death, and in it, find a new reason to live.

5 Reasons Why Americans Voted For Obama And Why They Won’t Again

obama gaddafi 300x200 5 Reasons Why Americans Voted For Obama And Why They Wont Again

Who appointed over 40 ambassadors on the sole basis of campaign contributions, or has as many lobbyists in government as did any President in memory? And who releases touchy news—whether increased unemployment or trying Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in civil courts—on Friday nights, or wants his Democratically-controlled Congress to debate unpopular legislation on Saturday nights?

You see where this is going. Prophets fall harder than normal politicians. When you claim that seas recede and planets cool before your presence, and that Latin mottos, new presidential candidate seals, neo-classical victory trophies, and faux-Greek temple sets are the appropriate backdrops for Your speeches, then you raise the bar a bit high. Obama is not necessarily any more partisan than a Nixon or Reagan or Bush, only just as partisan—but when he claimed something quite different.

Holder’s Hidden Agenda..Fascinating Read

Obama

Nationa Review

This summer, I theorized that Attorney General Eric Holder — and his boss — had a hidden agenda in ordering a re-investigation of the CIA for six-year-old alleged interrogation excesses that had already been scrutinized by non-partisan DOJ prosecutors who had found no basis for prosecution. The continuing investigations of Bush-era counterterrorism policies (i.e., the policies that kept us safe from more domestic terror attacks), coupled with the Holder Justice Department’s obsession to disclose classified national-defense information from that period, enable Holder to give the hard Left the “reckoning” that he and Obama promised during the 2008 campaign. It would be too politically explosive for Obama/Holder to do the dirty work of charging Bush administration officials; but as new revelations from investigations and declassifications are churned out, Leftist lawyers use them to urge European and international tribunals to bring “torture” and “war crimes” indictments. Thus, administration cooperation gives Obama’s base the reckoning it demands but Obama gets to deny responsibility for any actual prosecutions.

Confirmation: Fort Hood Terrorist Is Paralyzed

hasan2 233x300 Confirmation: Fort Hood Terrorist Is Paralyzed

Fort Hood, Texas (Nov. 13) — Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, the U.S. Army psychiatrist accused of killing 13 people at Fort Hood Army Post in Texas a week ago, is paralyzed, his lawyer said Friday.

“It appears he won’t be able to walk in the future,” said Hasan’s civilian attorney, retired Army Col. John Galligan.
Authorities say Hasan opened fire at a military processing center at Fort Hood on November 5. A civilian officer who was wounded in the incident returned fire, wounding Hasan.
Galligan said he spent an hour with Hasan in San Antonio on Thursday. A family member whom he did not identify was also present during the hourlong meeting.

Yousef al-Khattab AKA Joey Cohen Makes The News Again For Saying Americans Are Legitimate Targets

This is the problem. our constitution allows people like this to make threats and they are guarded by the first amendment. but does the constitution protect them from a random pissed off New Yorker?

the constitution of the country they hate yet refuse to fucking leave protects them. how ironic.

New York (CNN) — Outside a Manhattan mosque where the imam preaches against terrorism, the brothers of the “Revolution Muslim” are spreading a different message.

Protected by the Constitution of the country they detest, radical Muslim converts like Yousef al-Khattab and Younes Abdullah Mohammed preach that the killing of U.S. troops overseas is justified. In their thinking, so were the September 11, 2001, attacks on the United States — and so are attacks on almost any American.

A Judge In Illinois Has Sentenced An Admitted Al Qaeda Terrorist To Less Than 2 Years In Prison

Where is the justice?

Fox News

A judge in Illinois sentenced an admitted Al Qaeda agent Thursday to less than two years in prison in addition to the six years he already has spent behind bars — much less than the 15 years requested by prosecutors.

But U.S. District Judge Michael Mihm said he doesn’t think former Bradley graduate student Ali al-Marri has renounced the terrorist group and was likely to attack the U.S. if given the chance. But Mihm also said al-Marri deserved credit for the years he’d spent in isolation in the Navy brig.

Prosecutors claimed al-Marri told an Air Force psychiatrist all infidels, including Shiite Muslims, should be killed.

Somali Group Linked To Al Qaeda, Al Shabaab Has A Quiz..The Prize: Weapons And Ammo

somali al shabaab

BBC

The winners of a quiz organised by Somali Islamists have been given weapons and ammunition as prizes.
Prizes included AK-47 assault rifles, hand grenades and an anti-tank mine.

The quiz ran during the holy Muslim month of Ramadan in the port city of Kismayo, and included questions about the Koran and Somali geography.
A representative for the al-Shabab militant group said the quiz aimed to stop young men from wasting their time and focus on defending their territory.

“The reason the young men were rewarded with weapons is to encourage them to participate in the ongoing holy war against the enemies of Allah in Somalia,” AFP news agency quoted al-Shabab’s Sheikh Abdullahi Alhaq as saying at Friday’s prize-giving ceremony.
